New event!

We are so happy to say that we will be attending the Homegrown Vintage Market on August the 6th at the Meadowville hall! We heard about it to lte last year to be a vendor and went as customers instead and loved it. It was so quaint and the feeling was great within the place. We just had to go this year so hear we are booked in and getting some last minute jewellery ready!
So if your local come check out our stall and the other talented artists or if you cant make it do t worry as ill post pictures of the event as it goes.
I better get on making some new pieces!

Busy season continued

Been a busy day again yesterday baling up our hay. We've been fighting the rain clouds as they circle above us but finally we have got it all baled and almost all of it in. We can now take a deep breath and start preparing for fencing. Look at how angry these rain clouds were!

I managed to get a picture of our tractor after it finished off getting the bales out of one of our hay fields. Our John Deere really is a trooper. He made an awesome display of bravery through a collapsed culvert and he managed to retrieve all of our hay bales. So thank you Mr JD.

Meet Son of Dodge

Thought you might like to see one of our rams before he was sheared. He is called Son of Dodge.

Busy season

Well summer is here and our crafting is a night time choir whilst we get the hay done. We have it mowed and will be bailing it soon.
The hay is a very important part of our year. We need this hay to get through the winter to keep our sheep and cattle fed. There is pollen everywhere in the air and all i can hear is lovely engine grumble from the tractor in the field. Soon we will have it in and we can rest easy at night again!
here are some pictures of the hay fields and the baler just getting going.
Keep following our progress!

Shearing all done

So its time for our sheep to get a haircut... the shearer is set up and in full swing. I love this time as my mum and i finally get more wool to play with. Im bagging the wool we will keep back for future projects and my mum is going in and out of the shed with arm fulls of wool. Mum has already started cleaning and dieing wool for our felting and its drying on the fence.

Shearing is such hot, hard work!
